Recovery Bowl Returns August 9, 2025
Football fans, mark your calendars! On Saturday, August 9, 2025, Buccaneer Field will roar to life as six incredible high school football teams take the field for the annual Recovery Bowl: Tackling Substance Use.
This isn’t just football—it’s a mission.
Hosted by WakeUp Carolina in partnership with 1Team1Cause, the Recovery Bowl raises crucial funds and awareness for substance use prevention and recovery support in our community. This year’s lineup of talented teams includes:
- 6:00 PM: First Baptist vs. St. John’s Christian
- 7:00 PM: Bethesda vs. Pinewood Prep
- 8:00 PM: Northwood Academy vs. Oceanside Collegiate
🕓 Gates open 4:00 PM
🎟 Tickets: $10 (available online or at the gate)

Proceeds directly support WakeUp Carolina’s programs—providing education, resources, and hope to individuals and families impacted by substance use.
